As the mornings are darker and days often damper it does make some people think the pool becomes a no go zone. The great thing about the colder months though is that the pool seems more pleasantly tropical and warm and you know you can have a hot shower afterwards.

Autumn is also a great time to think about what you want to do next summer whilst the memories of participating or watching/ hearing about friends adventures are still fresh in your mind. Perhaps you want to enter a leg of a multipart event like the X-Adventure or Augusta Adventure Fest. Maybe you are contemplating a Rottnest Crossing or a splash around the Busselton Jetty. What ever your adventure it can take time to learn something new and the months over winter are a perfect time to do this.

So lock the dates in your diary. Make that commitment to yourself, set aside the time for you and hopefully I will see you in the pool!
