Connect with real nature
Dive into the tranquil waters of Goorbilyup (Blackwood River) and immerse yourself in its incredible, pristine environment.
Experience the changing sensations as you move through the river, being part of the interplay between freshwater and ocean tides.
Indigenous Education
Learn the indigenous names of local flora and fauna guided by a local Wadandi custodian. With a Welcome to Country prior to the event, you'll gain local insights into the river's significance and deepen your understanding of the area's cultural importance.

It's not a race
Unlike traditional swim events, Swim Goorbilyup is all about the experience.
Take your time, observe nature, and relish the changing colours of the river water as you swim in the tide.
Awesome Merch
As a participant, you'll receive an exclusive Swim Gooribilyup swim cap and a limited edition handmade mug from local pottery artisan kwclay. We are so pleased to be able to offer something handmade for you as part of this event.
Each mug is an individual artisanal piece, which after your swim, you can fill with and savour the warmth of Bahen & Co hot chocolate or Ripple Effect Organic Tea!

Post Swim Connection
After the swim we encourage you to enjoy your drink and share your experiences, what you saw, and what you enjoyed with fellow swimmers.
Enjoy your choice of hot chocolate or fresh organic tea in your new handmade mug! Bring a blanket, bring a picnic, sit in awe!
